A dear friend, the buyer for NOTEable Bowls (above, right in 2004), has been making regular buying trips to Katmandu, Nepal since the summer of 1968 (above, left). Each bowl is hand selected for its ease of playing and its tonal qualities.

Most of the bowls range from 100 to 250 years in age, though occasionally we have some that are possibly closer to 50 years old. They are hand hammered and pounded out of a combination of different metals, and are confirmed to be a bronze base.

The majority of the bowls are purchased for personal meditation, but many practitioners also use these bowls for yoga, chakra clearing, reiki, feng shui, sound massage and sound therapy.

A portion of all sales helps support health and education of Tibetan children in the Chushul Orphanage.
